1910   Tenryu Tekko was founded as a limited partnership for repairing and improving circular saws.
1913 December: Tenryu Saw Mfg. Co., Ltd., was established.
1918 May: Tokyo branch was opened in Fukagawa, Tokyo.
1919 July: Osaka branch was opened in Kita-ku, Osaka.
  September: Akita branch was opened in Akita City.
1920 April: Two engineers were sent to England to study circular saw manufacturing methods for the woodworking industry. Japan's first saw manufacturing business was established upon their return to Japan.
1930 August: Tenryu was awarded the national "Superior Domestically Produced Product Award" for their saw blades for woodworking.
1937 November: Osaka Branch moved to Taisho-ku, Osaka.
1946 August: Tokyo Office opened in Nihonbashi-ku now known as Chuo-ku,.
1948 February: Osaka Office was opened in Nishi-ku, Osaka.
1950 December: Tenryu's plant was designated a Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) plant for circular saws for woodworking.
1960 March: Production of circular saws for power tools started.
1963 October: Production of carbide tipped saw blades started.
1965 May: Production of diamond saw blanks started.
1972 April: Kyushu Sales Office opened in Kumamoto. (Closed in April 1987.)
December: Affiliated companies, Pass Co., Ltd., a band saw manufacturer, and Kaken Co., Ltd., a diamond cutting saw manufacturer, were established.
1973 January: Hokuriku Sales Office was opened in Toyama.
December: Joint venture company, Young Chang Saw & Knife Co., Ltd., a diamond saw blanks manufacturer, was established in Inchon, Korea.
1975 May: Production of saw blades for disassembling Shinkansen trains started.
1976 May: Giken Co., Ltd., an affiliated company for manufacturing band saw processing machines and related equipment was established.
1982 August: Sales of metal saws started.
1984 February: Headquarters and plant moved to current location in Asaba-cho, Shizuoka Prefecture.
May: Production of carbide tipped saw blades for metal cutting started.
1988 November: Tenryu Saw Mfg. Co., Ltd., registered with the over-the-counter section of the Tokyo and Nagoya Stock Exchanges.
1991 August: Osaka Branch moved to Higashi Osaka.
1992 February: Joint venture with Young Chang Saw & Knife Co., Ltd., in Korea was dissolved.
April: Kaken Co., Ltd., Giken Co., Ltd., and Pass Co., Ltd., were merged with Tenryu.
1993 October: Hokkaido Sales Office opened in Asahikawa.
1994 July: Tenryu (China) Saw Mfg. Co., Ltd., a Chinese saw blade manufacturer and distributor entered into a joint venture with Young Chang Saw & Knife Co., Ltd., in Korea. This joint venture was established in Langfang, Hebei,, China.
1995 March: Tokyo Branch moved to Narashino, Chiba Prefecture.

1996 May: Tenryu America Inc. was established in Melbourne, Florida, USA for selling saw blades and other products.
2000 June: Hokkaido Sales Office is closed and merged with the Akita Branch.
September: The joint venture between Tenryu Saw Mfg. Co., Ltd., in China and with Young Chang Saw & Knife Co., Ltd., in Korea was dissolved. Tenryu China became a wholly-owned subsidiary
2001 December: Tenryu America Inc., moved to Florence, Kentucky.
2002 January: Longlian Tools Corporation, a cutters manufacturer and distributor, was established in Langfang, Hebei, China.
2004 November: Tenryu Saw (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established in Bangplee Industrial Estate, Samutprakarn, Thailand.
2006 October: Tenryu America Inc. moved to Hebron, Kentucky.
2007 September: Headquarters and factory obtained ISO-14001 certification.
2008 January: Tenryu Saw (Thailand) Co., Ltd. moved to Chonburi.
2009 September: Tenryu Europe GmbH was established in Dusseldorf, Germany for selling saw blades and other products.
2010 January: The main office of Tenryu Europe GmbH was moved to Aalen, Germany.
